If Life is a Monochrome, you are the color...!
Should I start it by saying.. Dear Gentle Readers...with the Bridgeton fever still on in my head? Let me be me and not the Lady Whistledown.
Hello Everyone,
I was at home when I got 30 eggs for 99 rupees. It was a fantastic deal, isn't it?
I announced proudly to my parents. My Dad shot an immediate question, after which my pride sunk to the ocean depths. Why are parents masters at roasting? Before sharing what my dad questioned, let me ask you a question-
Are you opinioned, opinionated or judgmental?
Opinioned - ex: I like the pink dress over the red.
Opinionated - ex: It's a 'fact' that pink dress is more amazing than red.
Judgmental - ex: You are an idiot for liking pink dress.
I balance all the above based on the rules I succumbed to myself or how I was brought up or knowledge via media or insecurities. I never thought insecurities would play a part in being judgmental. It sounds otherwise that they have an impact subconsciously.
Why am I asking this all of a sudden?
Because I was judgmental of a few ideologies, I later followed them based on situations around which my past self would not accept. This is also an introspection of how to navigate through your thoughts when you do something you thought was a bizarre thing and do it eventually. Quite a lot of people regret when they don't meet "The Standards" they set for themselves or by the society. I don't want to regret my decisions, even if it is impulsive. "The Legacy" is just a sham, if you don't understand the purpose of your life.
When someone asked me as a teen, What do you want to become? I did not have a specific answer but I wanted to leave the legacy behind.....which I thought was a great thing.
I never truly understood what that meant until I read the book "THE LAST QUEEN" by Chitra Banerjee. No one has ever heard of The Last Queen, neither in textbooks nor films. Leaving a legacy is never in our hands, it's just about the choices we make and the life we want to live. If it is an exceptional journey, it comes to light and inspires people. With a shift in the perception, everyone around is inspiring by creating an impact.
Lately, there is a lot of news on the protests, changes in the governments, and war which makes our lives look even smaller in this big world. To the people around me who are creating impact, this is dedicated to you!
I happened to travel in the past months for refreshment and met one of my teachers, who protested a crime done to a girl in broad daylight and had to resign with wild allegations. I never thought something unfortunate happened in her life. She is always a rebellious and inspiring figure with a misleading tone to her good intentions. I am lucky to have met someone with such a persona!

I work with someone who always tries to protect the team and create a very healthy atmosphere when the majority of my friends share about their toxic work environments or bosses they are working with. I am immensely lucky to have a very understanding and encouraging team.
I visited my friends, stayed at their place for a while, tried out cheese-cakes on Church Street in Bangalore, purchased not-so-useful things, visited the temple, and the restaurant, went to play badminton together and worked out early in the mornings. And a shout-out to my friends for tolerating me when I switched on the lights early in the mornings when they were asleep.
Cheers to my brother for making it to the IISC Bangalore. I take him as an inspiration for investing deeply in his passion even when it didn't give the output everyone wanted. He proves the statement- "You know your needs and none other".
My dad asked me - "Did you check the expiration date for the eggs?". I stood there unaware of such a metrics. I googled if eggs can get expired. I wrote about eggs as I felt they kept communicating with me multiple times after that incident. I thought maybe they needed a shout-out too. That's the tale of me and eggs.
Lately, I have been reading and missed to write. I finished just two books and the third is half its way.
Thank you for making it to the end of this random post!
Happy week-ending....
