A Road Trip...
What do you think of that one tree with a giant trunk, umbrella-like structure and roots falling from branches at the end of the village? Does it seem beautiful, healthy or haunted?
On this road trip, I saw many beautifully haunted trees, and each of my travel companions had a different story to tell.

That tree must have seen a change in the era from bullock cart to an aeroplane, mud-filled roads to tar roads, dothi to trousers, earthworm to earthquake, Devine to evil and births to deaths...It makes me feel how short of a life I have. How lucky am I? I don't see the world bursting like a balloon (if it ever happens).
You've probably seen movies where a regular city dweller arrives in a village and is thrilled to see the natural beauty. Playing the role of "the city girl" was not something I ever imagined, considering my village roots. The city girl always wanted an internet connection to stay connected with the world but nature had plans otherwise. When we stayed in a cottage in the remote forest, all I could think of was "Prema Katha Chitram". Fortunately, nothing of such intensity happened. I am happy to witness and write about the beautiful experience without any dark matter ; )
The people I encountered lived in the middle of nature, far from "the happening life". They are excited about the our lives while we are curious about theirs. They guided us to reach breath taking places and offered help when needed.

Each of us on the trip had a different problem to tackle in life. Though they are the people I meet often I never got a chance to understand their burning fuel. I've heard horror stories a love story, witnessed a classic drama, a mini-musical concert, dances which the moon witnessed, a flying car and a little bit of adventure with all wildness.
It was such a well-planned and executed trip. For me the trip was a princess treatment because I didn't know how to drive, didn't have to plan, didn't need contacts to book accommodation, and never got a chance to command over any hotel staff if something was messed up. I've got amazing people who can click the best pictures. Everything was taken care of and all I had to do was just be there and ask weird questions, tell about my wild thoughts, talk about my bucket list and ask even more questions until they were fed up with the entire genZ.

A shoutout to my travel buddies who were so specific about food that they ordered freshly made bamboo chicken biriyani stood and recorded the process of making it after driving for 5 hours, empty tummy and with zeal as a kid. Meanwhile, all I did was roll on the bed, chit-chat with a headache and eat the amazing food they got. Kudos to bearing my nonsense...
We never knew if someone was tied to that tree and was burnt alive, we never knew that the tree at the end of the village was a place of worship, we never knew if children played there or if it was a gurukul in the past? Only the person going through the rush of emotions and desires knows why he reacted the way he did. Only the person walking through the crappy road knows the pain and so it the tree.
The people I travelled with taught me that life is not boring...Life is full of possibilities....it gets boring when we stop exploring...
Beautiful story. Travel is a great fun learning experience.
