Rewind of my summers....
Do you remember the first IPL match that you ever watched?
I do, this is that place. The match was between Delhi Dare Devils and Deccan Charges...
I do not remember the date and year but I can clear remember all the moments I have with this place. It was my cousin who introduced me, the IPL .
It was just me, my bro and my cousin sitting on that floor that day. My bro and cousin had a face of excitement to see who wins the game. But for me, the exciting part was finding the rules of the game. We used to play gully cricket and it has completely different rules, so listening to my cousin shout, wide.....!, no ball.....!, six......! were so different.
Guess what, that is the same year Deccan Charges won the title of IPL after a very long time. From then on, I have a very special feeling about Deccan Charges which was later renamed as Sun Risers Hyderabad.
From that summer me and my brother never missed watching IPL. It was really fun to argue with friends about team we support. My favorite teams grew each year as I understood the match. Summer doesn't feel like summer with out IPL.
Every summer we used to visit our grandma's house either maternal or paternal. Every time I go, I used to learn at least one new thing and that year was the IPL, following was the year I found out Apple had seeds, then hunting for eggs in the farm, then understanding the the taste of Almond fruit and how to find the best fruit that had good seed, then found out brinjal can be in green color and big, then learnt about magnifying glass, and learnt scolding the electricity officer helps to reduce the number of power cuts.
My grandpa used to collect all the almond fruits that grow in a year and used to give us whenever we visit that summer. Did you ever taste an almond fruit? if yes..do tell your story in the comments.

Recently I happened to visit my village after 3 years, and felt so good about all the memories I have with that place. All my cousins are elder than me, so I happened to listen to new things from them. Moreover, we lived in Andhra because of dad's job and they lived in Telangana, so I learnt both traditions as grew up.

One day a buffalo hit me with its head in my stomach as I walked along a street to my other grandma's house. I was not badly hurt because that buffalo didn't have big horns. That is hilarious if I imagine the incident.

My love for eating fish has begun in my village. My grandma is an amazing cook. She used to hand pick the living fish whenever we visited. I was so interested in the process of its preparation, not the cooking part but the cleaning part. She used to purchase the living fish, so while she bargains, I used to play with other fish that vendor brought. The fish used to jump around until my grandma prepares to cut them. To the child, who lives in city and never saw live fish, the jumping fish is a pleasant sight. Then she used to clean each piece with salt and I also lend my little hand for help. I drank "kallu" when my grandfather said that tastes amazing. I didn't like it but drank quite a few times.

There is a huge list of topics I wanted to tell about my childhood, but length of the blog keeps on increasing, so lets stop here. Today I realized that I had a very beautiful childhood.
As we grew up, the number of times we visited this place has reduced because we were occupied with our stuff and my cousins became busy with their stuff. We still visit for occasions and have a blast together.
