Nature's Digest...

I received a call from my pal, who asked me if I could come to Kondavedu the next day. I was giddy with anticipation and said yes immediately. Travelling with friends also changes the monotonous day. We then planned to start at 5:30 am because mornings are beautiful. Let me be honest, one of the challenging tasks for everyone is to wake up early in the morning. One of my friends even asked me to make calls until she woke up. We didn't want to miss the trip so made all stupid arrangements to enjoy the next day. Some of my other friends didn't sleep that day because they are sure that they can't wake up early.

It was a pleasant Sunday. I woke up at 4 am because my friend asked me to wake her up early. I immediately slept after making a call because I won't take long to get ready. After some time my mom woke me up and scolded me for sleeping long enough. I wanted to take good pictures so I rushed to finish the routine. I was ready by 5:15 am and one of my friends picked me up by 5:30 am. I am not lying but I am punctual guys...

Pretending to be a model

I usually love mornings because they tend to give a positive feeling that I achieved by "just waking up". We started our journey after picking up my other friends. On our journey we discussed random things in our lives like one of my friends said how he damaged his friend's car on an earlier trip and the other was describing his friendship with rats (I have really weird friends)...and the discussion continued till we reached the spot at 6:40 am.

The authorities didn't allow us to enter because we came early by an hour and a half. We were not aware of the time restriction. We requested them if they could allow us a little faster. We also lied that we travelled a long way. They asked us to wait for a little while. We got out of the car, stretched ourselves, then there came a dog that looked at my friend and started barking. He was afraid as hell and jumped into the car.

My friend's brothers soon joined us as we waited. Then came a car with a foreigner in it. The authorities took pictures with her and allowed her inside. We were looking at all the drama with no expression on our faces. They allowed us to enter soon after them. One of my friends recorded a time-lapse as we went up the hill. We reached the top of the hill in no time.

The place is called Kondavedu fort, but there are only some reminiscents of the fort and other constructions. Most of it was destroyed and scattered. There is a museum nearby which might give us more insights about the place. We couldn't visit the museum because of time constraints. I wish to visit it next time.

The first structure

The first structure was constructed of rocks, and I believed it was the location of the area's guards in the past. There was a window-like structure with an incredible outlook. We couldn't stop shooting pictures since it was all green all the way to the cliff's brink. It was a spectacular sunrise.

Then our friend showed us the way to a small hill that we can climb. One of my friends took a Moong dal pack to eat it along the way. He saw a monkey walking close to him and threw a full packet and ran. I was laughing as hell looking at that sight. White flowers rained down from the bushes all along the path, greeting me warmly. Ugh..that is an exaggerated version of me feeling like the queen walking over the bed of roses. I was super excited to reach the top of the hill as soon as I caught its sight.

The hill

A group of people in their sixties and seventies arrived with their companions. They were all dressed in their shoes and hats. They even brought the breakfast with them and offered us as well. They were very well prepared that they appeared to be the horde of warriors ready to scale the hill and defeat the opponent.

I could climb half of the hill and then, I gave up. My friends shot a video of them climbing top. Some of my friends reached the top and could tell their stories with a lot of excitement when we returned. I must admit, I felt like becoming an author to describe nature's beauty. I could spend a quality amount of time with friends, though some of them left halfway.

HAPPY WE..

As a child, I loved eating the "pulla ice" every summer when I visited my grandmother's village. On the return journey, we were really thirsty, and one man came with a bunch of pulla ice flavours. After covid, most of the kulfi wala or ice cream wala went back to their places and we could find very few of them. We enjoyed it and returned back playing amazing songs.... Thank you guys for making my day so special. Love you all.....

See you guys next time...💓💓
